No Primer and I went to Alexandria, La. yesterday to participate in the Bayou State Bowhunter's Association's "Spring Fling" 3-d archery tournament. We met a lot of good folks from across the state and No Primer caught me sleeping. He mercilessly hammered me on the range. I should have suspected something was up when he refused to allow me to enter the senior's division (my first year of eligibility). He was unnaturally quite when I informed him I was keeping my seeing eye glasses in my pocket to adjust to the new realities of being a senior citizen. He didn't even take into account the event was not a "state" competition and therefore, I was not properly motivated to let my competitive juices flow.
He went kind of nuts on me once the match was over, going around loudly proclaiming how he beat the state champion!
I almost left him on the side of the road near Thistlewaite Wildlife Management Area.
If you see a nut hitchhiking on the side of the road carrying a bow when hunting season is closed, please don't give him a ride.

If you enter the seniors division you will never hear the end of the old paw paw jokes. You practicing for this saturday?? LOL
Oh and Rod, about that state competition. It was the Bayou STATE Bow Hunters Association. It doesn't get any more STATELY than that!! :)
